Patricia joined Kirby IP Canada in 2023 and has brought with her an expertise n biotechnology, biologics, pharmaceuticals/chemicals, and medical devices. Her practice focuses on drafting and prosecution of Canadian patent applications. She also has extensive experience in prosecuting patent applications in international jurisdictions, such as the U.S., Europe (EPO), China, Japan, and South Korea.
Prior to joining the firm, Patricia was a business development manager protecting, managing, and commercializing intellectual property developed at a regional Canadian hospital network. Patricia has also worked as a life sciences and biotechnology specialist at a Japanese patent law firm in Osaka, where she focused on prosecuting Japanese patent applications for leading North American and European biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
